Nettle soup possibly coming soon

We found some nettles in the garden which would be great for a nettle soup. When I was a child I went to a survival course in the summer where they made nettle tea for us to try. I have never cooked with nettles before and I am excited to try them. Let me know if you have cooked with nettles before and any tips you have.

Recipes moving to the website

I have been preparing the website to house all the tasty soup recipes I am creating. Don’t worry, the newsletter is here to stay.

The website will just be an easy way to find the recipe you want without having to look through all those emails.

Moving my focus to ease and speed πŸš€

I have been working on the website and you may have noticed I have shifted the focus of soup and sauce to cater for accessibility, simplicity and quickness.

I have disability which makes it difficult for me to follow complicated recipes and I believe cooking should be assessable to all. I also believe recipes should be easy to follow, easy to adapt and assessable while saving you time.

If you have any ideas, I would love to hear from you.

Improving food photography πŸ“·

I have been learning about food photography lighting and I have found a new tactic to use. Imagine a harsh light shining directly at you. This is what I have been doing to take pictures of the soup. Next week I am putting a piece of paper in front of my light to spread the light out and make it look a lot more natural.

General improvements

You may not see much difference yet but we need to add the ingredients before stirring the pot. If you have any suggestions, I would be delighted to hear them. πŸ‘
