🍲 Irish Seafood Chowder

The best chowder in England. + 3 community posts!

Hey Soup Enthusiast,

I have something special for you today. Get ready for a taste of real Irish food. One of my favorite dinner soups which went down a treat, you must try it yourself and let me know what you think.

🍲 Today's soup: Irish Seafood Chowder

I often have enjoyed chowder during family trips to Ireland and it holds one of the top spot among my favorite soups.

Picture this, you walk into a restaurant / bar which is buzzing with atmosphere, Irish music, laughter and cheer. The owner greats you at the door with his colleges and hints at there specialty, “the best chowder in Ireland”. This was the experience I had in Ireland when I visited Burke’s Bar & Restaurant.

I have had so many similar experiences before in Ireland where I was offered the the best chowder in Ireland but, Burke’s is truly one of the best. After tasting the best chowder in Ireland so many times, I decided to try my hand at making it myself.

Chowder is a very tasty and comforting soup which makes it a fantastic option for hearty dinner or large lunch. This is the first time I have made chowder and I am happy with the result. The bacon added a delightful texture but, the soup could have been reduced more and a bit more creamy. Overall it tasted great and I highly recommend everyone to give it a go.

With so many variants such as: seafood, clam and corn chowder I am sure to make it again, refining my skills and the recipe. I encourage you to share your chowder creations on our Facebook group with the community.

Here is how I would cook the best chowder in England.

Make sure to check out the video, its a good one!

I want to thank my parents as recently bread baking has become popular in our household and for the chowder my Dad baked a really nice soda bread. A thick brown bread which goes brilliantly with chowder. I have eaten it many times in Ireland, Here is how he did it.

🐟 Ingredient of the week: Sea-food

👩‍🍳 Today's community showcase’s

Last Tuesday my Dad decided to make Leak & potato soup for lunch it was very tasty and was garnished with parsley. I asked if he wanted to give us a tip and here is what he said.

“It was a little thick so I thinned it out with a drop of cream and milk.“

Lets not stop there though as another member of our community shared their own soup with us, and what a delightful coincidence, another Leak and Potato soup! Here is what they had to say.

“My tip would be to use heavy cream for a smoother consistency and add lots of black pepper for flavoring.”

We have a treat for you today with a third community post, I have to say it looks exquisite! Feast your eyes on this mouthwatering ramen served in a broth, it deserves the credit.

“To make the soup base use an egg yolk, the ramen packet seasoning, soy sauce, crushed garlic and noodles water”. “You can save time cooking by cooking the eggs in with the noodles and by placing a siev on top of the pot with your vegetables in with a lid on top create a DIY steamer”.

General improvements

I’m always looking for ways to improve your experience and I recently came across some small changes which I will be implementing gradually over time but, I’m thinking bigger.

Improved wording

I stumbled upon this one thing. Let me tell you, if I can master it, it's going to be a game-changer.

Now, you might be wondering what this has to do with soup. Well, stick with me.

I have always enjoyed stories, films and short audiobooks. Every Saturday I like to put on my headphones and settle into the night listening to short light horror / scary stories.

I have became more and more fascinated with story telling and the phycological effect it has on the reader, to the point where I am currently attempting to write the second draft of my own short story.

Just imagine how much of an improvement it would be if I combined my continuously improving knowledge of story telling and content writing to breathe new life into the content you receive.
